چکیده

A one-port surface acoustic wave (SAW) resonator based on Co40–Fe40–B20/SiO2/ZnO/quartz multilayer structure and exhibiting a dual mode, Rayleigh Love modes, is investigated to achieve multifunctional sensor measuring both temperatures magnetic fields. The mode of the used for temperature measurement with sensitivity ?37.9 ppm/°C, field measurement. Co40-Fe40-B20 sensitive layer, quartz crystal piezoelectric substrate. ZnO film also but considered here in combination SiO2 as insulating layers serves control impedance matching dependence sensor. thicknesses are selected realize compensation making this highly fields insensitive temperatures. sensitivities ?170.4 kHz m?1 T?1 ?621.6 obtained respectively fundamental third harmonic mode. proposed beneficial design reliable hybrid SAW sensors.

TiO2 based surface acoustic wave gas sensor with modified electrode dimensions for enhanced H2 sensing application

The design and optimization of nanostructure-based surface acoustic wave (SAW) gas sensor is analyzed based on TiO2 sensing layer and modified electrode dimensions. The sensitivity of the gas sensor depends upon the type of sensing layer used and active surface area obtained by varying the aspect ratio. The performance of the sensor is observed from 0.1ppm to 100ppm concentration of ...

A surface acoustic wave ICP sensor with good temperature stability.

BACKGROUND Intracranial pressure (ICP) monitoring is very important for assessing and monitoring hydrocephalus, head trauma and hypertension patients, which could lead to elevated ICP or even devastating neurological damage. The mortality rate due to these diseases could be reduced through ICP monitoring, because precautions can be taken against the brain damage. OBJECTIVE This paper presents...

Characterisation of a Wireless Passive Surface Acoustic Wave Strain Sensor

Wirelessly interrogated surface acoustic wave (SAW) sensors can operate passively and in harsh conditions reliably. The interrogation process of the signal measurement chain provides the power to excite the sensor and hence establish the sensors response in a passive manner. Development of wireless passive SAW sensors allows investigation of their potential to quantify physical measurands such ...

Surface Acoustic Wave Based Magnetic Sensors

Since the radar system was invented in 1922, the development of devices communicating by means of reflected power has experienced a continuously growing interest. In 1948, Harry Stockman published a paper [1] in which he laid the basis for the idea of radio frequency identification (RFID), and the first patent had been filed in 1973 by Charles Walton. After decades of research and commercializa...

Wave Monitoring using Wireless Sensor Nodes

This thesis describes our research on wave monitoring using wireless sensor nodes. A wireless sensor node is equipped with a 3D accelerometer and built into a canister inside a buoy. A specialized algorithm is developed to calculate wave height based on the approximated vertical acceleration caused by waves. The results from this algorithm are analysed using experiments within a controlled envi...
